Telly Awards

Over the past 20 years, the Telly Award has become one of the most sought after awards in the TV, commercial and video industry, with winners selected based on their outstanding standards of excellence. To date, Standard Deviants has won 20 Telly Awards for Best Educational Video, including:

American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS): "Best Films and Video List"
SB&F is the only critical review journal devoted exclusively to print and nonprint materials in all of the sciences and for all age groups. Every year, SB&F evaluates nearly 1,000 books, A/V materials, and software packages for general audiences, professionals, teachers, and students from kindergarten through college. SB&F added the Standard Deviants to their list of Best Films and Videos in 1998.

American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS): "Best AV Materials"Gold Camera Award
SB&F added the Standard Deviants: Human Nutrition to their list of the Best AV Materials in 2000.

International Film and Video Festival: "Gold Camera Award"
The Standard Deviants American Government, Part 1 was awarded the prestigious "Gold Camera Award" in the 2000 International Film and Video Festival, beating 1600 entries from 30 countries.

Discus AwardDiscus Awards for Creative Excellence, 2000: "Best Educational DVDs"
The Standard Deviants American Government DVD and The Standard Deviants Algebra DVD garnered Best Educational DVD awards at the 3rd Annual Discus Awards for Creative Excellence.

The 2000 Aurora Awards: "Gold Award: Directing " & "Gold Award: General Instruction"
The Standard Deviants won two Gold Awards at The 2000 Aurora Awards! The Standard Deviants Shakespeare Tragedies: Othello, Macbeth & King Lear was presented a Gold Award for Directing, and The Standard Deviants Shakespeare Tragedies: Titus Andronicus, Romeo and Juliet & Hamlet was presented a Gold Award for General Instruction.

2003 Practical Homeschooling Reader Awards: "Honorable Mention"
The Standard Deviants received an Honorable Mention in the Educational Video Series category of the 2003 Practical Homeschooling Reader Awards. Practical Homeschooling is one of the largest and most respected homeschooling publications.

2010 Light Speed Writing: AP English Language and Composition won a Videographer Award of Excellence.

The Videographer Awards is one of the most coveted awards in the video industry. Over the past 14 years, thousands of production and communication professionals have entered their best and most creative work. There were about 1,800 entries from throughout the United States and several other countries. The Award of Excellence was awarded to those projects the judges deemed were written, produced, shot and edited in an exceptional manner. Approximately 14 percent of the entrees won this award.
